Creating Anti-Racist Spaces - For Administrators

The devastating impacts of COVID and state sanctioned violence against black people we are experiencing at this moment has accelerated the work that many of us engaged in dismantling systems of oppression are contending with.  It is with this recognition that the EEP collaborative is offering this session for administrators who are doing the work of dismantling intersectional racist practice to convene and deepen learning.

The purposes of this session include:

1. Defining and examining anti-racist practices, policies and procedures.  Holding space for the intersecting systems of oppression that compound issues of structural racism.

2. Describing and examining the barriers and opportunities in advancing anti-racists practices in institutions.

3.  Examining the personal work necessary to deepen and sustain these efforts on the personal, interpersonal, and organizational level.
